You are welcome Overflow Productions, Provides a forum for new writing, music and plays: It aims to assist in setting people free from dysfunctional mindsets, through drama that inspires as well as explores issues and create appreciation for all cultures. 1. Provide a forum for new writing that reflects appreciation and innovation for all cultures 2. To provide mainstream theatre and community theatre projects that will be offered to schools, institutes and disadvantaged groups. 3. To address social problems in society, such as domestic violence, gun violence and drug abuse. 4. To run workshops to discuss the issues brought up in the plays that will help to gain understanding and create a solution and gain acting skills. BackgroundDuring University I took theatre out into the community as part of a project codenamed “Theatre in Education”. I also ran workshops for children, between the ages of 6- and 10 years old. I also directed young people from 16-19 in plays. There is a market for the plays that I will be producing. The market has been tested and I am satisfied of what can be achieved. My Plays will address social problems, as in domestic violence, alcoholism, misuse of drugs, or drug addiction, regardless of race, colour or status. |
