You are welcome My name is Helena. I hold BA Hons (Theatre). My first Play, titled: UNDER THE VEIL had its first showing at King's Head Theatre London, on 13th and 14th April. The next showing is planned for the end of May. (Date to be announced) UNDER THE VEILUNDER THE VEIL is about a young woman, by the name of Sarah. She is living a hopeless life under the shadow of her abusive lover, Clifton. Unable to escape the prison of her world and Clifton's inability to rise from social confines, the lives of the two spiral downhill. A glimmer of light comes in the form of a friend, but unexpected turn of events ends in tragedy”. The cast is impressive. Written by Helena Jones, BA (Hons), Directed by Richard Juukovsky, an innovative, experienced Director, who has made short films for Festivals, and Starring Shelaine Brown, Gavin Cooper, Annameka Porter-Sinclair, Michael Ellis, Charlene Jones, and Babs Oyetide Asked how the inspiration came about? In reply, Helena said: “You see so much in life, you see people going through all sorts of experiences, and you say to yourself, what can I do, to help? Images of hopelessness!For Centuries the Theatre has been a home of and, home for entertainers, musicians, artists and artistes, playwrights, comedians, and comediennes. Overflow Productions, a Theatre Company, Limited by Guarantee and having no share capital, has been set up to reflect the moods of the past, present and future. This Theatre Company is going to be inspirational in every sense of the word "inspirational". In the 1940s we had the Theatres in the round and in the 1950s the works of Samuel Beckett and others were performed in the Theatre of the absurd. One area of theatricals that has not so far been given a pride of place in the Theatres is, you get it, the "Gospel music" The Theatre and theatrical cum musical productions are constantly evolving. This is evident in multicultural Britain than anywhere else in the European Union. OVERFLOW PRODUCTIONS explores as well as inspires. This THEATRE COMPANY is no exception.
